3 Special Chelsea Players That Must Be Cautious Following The Signing Of Hakim Ziyech

The Blues have acquired the services of Hakim Ziyech ahead of next season. They took the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool in the Premier League unawares even as Manchester City and Manchester United was leapfrogged by Chelsea to the player’s (Hakim’s) signature.

How about that for a signing as the West London side made the agreement with Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam for the player.

He’s going to be an explosive force to Chelsea’s attack while been modeled as the ideal replacement for Eden Hazard who left last summer to Real Madrid.

With questions and talks on going about his arrival at Chelsea in the summer amid the Corona Virus break out (Pandemic), we evaluate the three (special) Chelsea players that should be cautious ahead of Hakim Ziyech’s arrival.

1. Willian Borges

The player Ziyech would be a massive addition to the Chelsea course but he would have to first deal with the presence of Brazilian playmaker Willian who have already established himself at the club.

While Willian has been a success at Chelsea over the years Ziyech is poised to prove his mettle as we expect him to do even with his first game at the club.

Could this be a threat for the Blues (arguably) most experienced player at Chelsea along with skipper and Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta?

Willian would do himself the good to continue in the fine form he’s shown in the season while there is also room for improvement.

This could be in the final third as the battle for supremacy may arise between the Brazilian and the new Chelsea signing Ziyech coming next season.

2. Mason Mount

The player has been impressive already in the season despite the fact that it’s just his first campaign at the club. He’s shown that he deserves a new contract while proven Lampard Frank right for including him in the Chelsea squad at the start of the season.

This may have been inevitably induced by Chelsea transfer ban which became a blessing in disguise for the club.

The Chelsea ban saw the player and others like Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori storm to life at the London club while preparing for the challenge that lies ahead of him with Hakim’s arrival at Chelsea.

Could he be the scapegoat at Chelsea as the club is keen to add quality and experience to the side? This could be worrisome for Mason Mount as a player of Hakim’s caliber has got all these attributes in abundance as the case may be.

3. Callum Hudson-Odoi

The young talent is primed for a tough campaign next season as the clubs have gone on to sign Ajax star Ziyech ahead of next season.

Could this see Hudson-Odoi leave the club or sit on the bench as the case maybe?

This could cost him his place and the international recognition he may enjoy with the England National team if the feared case happens.

Hakim’s arrival could mean bad for the English lad while it can also be a good one as he will stand a chance to learn from the players’ Ziyech experience.

It could afford Hudson-Odoi the chance to lean on the shoulder of the new Chelsea ace while Ziyech may be saddled with major expectations to perform at the club owing to his reputation and quality.

This could see the pressure and the rare view on the youngster go on a low key giving him the chance to thrive at Chelsea in the background.
