West Ham United struggling to match Aston Villa’s Tammy Abraham valuation

The Hammers could struggle to keep up with an inspired Aston Villa outfit this summer with both Premier League clubs vying for Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham’s signing.

Abraham has been heavily backed to call it quits at Stamford Bridge ahead of the next season’s start following his now fringe status in the first-team camp under Thomas Tuchel’s charge.

The England international has seen sparse involvement at the clubs since Tuchel took over earlier this year and speculation has suggested that Abraham is a priority target for Aston Villa in the ongoing summer window with the Midlanders willing to fork out Chelsea’s demand of a £40 million fee.

Reports from Eurosport claim that the aforementioned amount is way beyond West Ham United’s financial limit this summer which puts David Moyes’s side in danger of missing out on their target who has been eyed up by them for quite some time.

Chelsea’s refusal to budge on their asking price could further put West Ham in line to cede the battle for Abraham to Aston Villa who look all set to spend big this summer and overhaul their attacking options.
