West Ham United priced out of a move for top target Kurt Zouma

West Ham United are unlikely to move again for Chelsea central defender Kurt Zouma this summer with The Hammers priced out of a swoop for their top defensive target.

The 25-year-old Zouma had emerged on West Ham’s radar in the ongoing transfer window and with rumours of his exit from the Chelsea camp, David Moyes’ side had been credited with a strong interest in signing the defender.

Reports from Sky Sports, however, claim that Chelsea have remained firm on their £25 million valuation for Zouma which has forced West Ham United to look at other alternative names in the transfer market.

It is understood that Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic is now nearing a move to West Ham United who are hopeful of signing the Serie A defensive talent for a transfer fee worth £14 million.

Zouma had earlier seen his move away from Stamford Bridge collapse with the player refusing to be used as a makeweight in Chelsea’s cash-plus-player offer for Sevilla man Jules Kounde as Zouma asserted his desire to stay put in London beyond this summer.
