Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham is of much interest to West Ham United heading into this summer’s transfer window and the Hammers boss David Moyes is also believed to be keen on signing the England international.
Reports from the Daily Mail, however, claim that Moyes is persistent on not shelling out more than £25 million to land Abraham’s signature despite Chelsea seeking a sum in the region of £40 million to part ways with the 23-year-old.
Abraham has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge since Chelsea hired Thomas Tuchel to succeed Frank Lampard earlier this year and with his minutes on the pitch quite limited in recent times, the player is planning a move elsewhere.
There is no lack of interest among European clubs wanting to sign the former Aston Villa loanee with Villa themselves reported to be in the race for Abraham along with the likes of AC Milan and Wolves.
It remains to be seen whether Tuchel and Chelsea acquiesce to a lower valuation of Abraham’s sale with the Blues gaffer himself on the hunt for another attacking name as Romelu Lukaku’s name does the rounds around Stamford Bridge.
