West Ham have rejected Chelsea’s approach for midfielder Declan Rice with the Blues failing in their latest attempt to lure the 23-year-old to Stamford Bridge this summer.
Rice has long been linked with a move to Chelsea with the England international’s future at West Ham United subject to much speculation since last year despite David Moyes pushing to retain his star first-team regular.
According to a fresh claim from 90min, Chelsea have been handed another setback in their pursuit of Rice’s coveted signature with West Ham insisting that their soon-to-be captain will not be heading out the exit door unless their £150m price-tag is met.
The Hammers are understood to be hopeful that their midfield man will put pen to paper on a new deal before the next season gets underway with Moyes viewing Rice as a key player in his future plans for the club.
Thomas Tuchel, however, is likely to step up his long-standing interest in Rice over the course of the summer with the Chelsea boss keen to overhaul his squad in time for the next campaign.
