Chelsea make the travels to the Premier League’s new boys Watford in the midweek action coming up on the Premier League front for Thomas Tuchel’s high-flyers.
The Blues faced bitter rivals Manchester United over the weekend on home turf as the visitors held Tuchel’s men to a 1-1 stalemate.
Here is how Tuchel is expected to set up his Blues starting eleven for the outing against Watford –
3-4-2-1
Edouard Mendy will stand between the goalposts for Chelsea with Thomas Tuchel backed to tinker around with his defensive lineup.
Trevoh Chalobah and Thiago Silva have been handed an extended run on the team sheet in recent weeks and Andreas Christensen and Cesar Azpilicueta are in line to make the starting roles.
Midfield man N’Golo Kante is not expected to return to full fitness levels in time for the game against Watford which could force the gaffer Tuchel to retain Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the centre of the park.
Romelu Lukaku has been involved in cameos off the bench following his recent injury trouble but the Belgian forward could be tipped to lead the line for the Blues come Wednesday.
