Chelsea’s breakout star of the campaign so far Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly close to signing on extended terms at Stamford Bridge, claim reports from football.london.
The 22-year-old defender has been a player to watch out for after his surprise run of extended first-team football hinted that Chalobah was in line to impress for the Blues going ahead this season.
His deal with Thomas Tuchel’s side concludes in the summer of 2022 and with talks underway between the club and his representatives, it is understood that the player is poised to pen a new long-term deal at the Bridge.
Chalobah has been a regular for Chelsea of late with Tuchel unable to call upon his star defensive name in Antonio Rudiger who was out injured before making his way back into the teamsheet for the weekend win against Norwich City.
Following the contract talks with Chalobah coming to a swift close, Chelsea will be expected to gear up on the Rudiger front with the German centre-back backed to call it quits should his demands of a major bump in wages not be entertained.
