Tottenham Hotspur join the race for signing Chelsea winger Hakim Ziyech

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race for signing Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech this summer with the player linked with a move away from the Bridge before September 1’s deadline.

The Moroccon international player has been deemed surplus to requirements by the Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel who is seeking reinforcements from the market to bolster his front line.

According to a report from the Dutch news outlet AD, it is claimed that Antonio Conte’s Spurs have thrown their hat in the ring for making an approach to sign Ziyech who has also earned interest from other big clubs across Europe.

The likes of AC Milan and Ajax have been keeping close tabs on the 29-year-old’s situation in the Chelsea camp where his fall down the pecking order has been well documented since the new season got underway.

Ziyech came off the bench in Chelsea’s last league outing away at Leeds United for his first outing of the campaign after failing to feature in any of Chelsea’s two opening games against Everton and Spurs respectively.
