Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel is pleased with the potential of his players, after securing a 1-0 away win against Tottenham Hotspur.
Jose Mourinho’s team produced a lacklustre display in their home ground and this defeat means it is their third loss in a row. Mourinho opted for Carlos Vinicius as the only lone striker and apart from a half-chance towards the end, he didn’t threaten the Chelsea defense at all.
The Blues dominated the whole game and took a lead in the first half when Timo Werner was fouled in the box. Werner picked up Azpilicueta’s ball and drove forward towards the goal. Dier made a desperate attempt to stop him but instead committed a foul that the referee ruled as a penalty. Jorginho didn’t make any mistake to put the ball in the net.
Thiago Silva picked up an injury just before halftime and he was replaced. Despite that, the backline had no problems dealing with the home team and even came close plenty of time to increase their lead. Chelsea is in the 6th position of the table now whereas Tottenham is at 8th with one match played less.
