Timo Werner is understood to be closing in on his return to RB Leipzig from Chelsea with the forward in line to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming days.
The Germany international striker Werner has struggled to provide the firepower in the attacking third of the pitch for Chelsea two summers into his move to the English capital from Leipzig.

According to the recent tweet by the Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea’s agreement of parting ways with Werner this summer is on a permanent basis and not on loan as was rumoured in recent weeks.
RB Leipzig are expected to fork out a fee of €30 million to re-sign Werner who had already signed on personal terms with his former club a month back after his desire to call it quits at Chelsea gained ground.
A rift with the Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel was reported earlier in the summer which added to the speculation that Tuchel was open to giving his nod for Werner to leave ahead of the start of the new campaign.
