Tiemoue Bakayoko nearing completion of move to AC Milan this summer

Out-of-favor Chelsea FC midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko is edging closer to signing for Italian giant’s AC Milan. Recent reports state that the Frenchman may have already agreed upon personal terms with the Serie A side.

However, it is understood that the Blues valuation of Bakayoko, believed to be a figure around €20 million, is causing trouble with AC Milan’s willingness to ahead with the deal this summer. The Rossoneri are not eager on paying such a fee to land the 25-year old French international who has lacked consistency in form over the past couple of seasons.

Bakayoko certainly does not have a future at Stamford Bridge beyond this season. With the midfield department at Frank Lampard’s disposal being stacked with great first-team options, the Chelsea FC boss is looking to sell the former AS Monaco man before the current transfer window closes.

Reports had suggested that the Frenchman had been willing to take a massive wage cut to force through a move to Italy this summer. However, the Blues’ price-tag put on Bakayoko’s head was causing trouble with AC Milan.

The 25-year old midfielder had spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Monaco and had achieved a significant number of first-team opportunities at the Ligue 1 outfit. AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is believed to be an admirer of Bakayoko’s ability as a holding midfield presence and is looking to sign the player ahead of next season.
