Thomas Tuchel is understood to be reluctant about Chelsea’s potential swoop for Cristiano Ronaldo who is linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in this summer’s transfer window.
Ronaldo, who has made it known that he wants to leave the Manchester United fold before the start of the new season, is rumoured to be one of the priority targets for the new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly.
Boehly has held talks with Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes last month and there is speculation that Chelsea are leading the pack to land the Manchester United contract rebel to provide much-needed firepower to Tuchel’s forward lineup.
The Chelsea head coach, however, is cold on the idea of signing Ronaldo with the 37-year-old Portuguese attacker not considered to be a top name on Tuchel’s shopping list for this summer, according to a claim from The Independent.
Tuchel remains in the market for attacking reinforcement to bolster his options in the final third after the German coach sanctioned the exit of last summer’s marquee signing Romelu Lukaku to join Inter Milan on loan.
