Thomas Tuchel is reportedly not keen on moving in for Manchester United talisman Cristiano Ronaldo who wants out of Old Trafford in this summer’s transfer window.
With no Champions League football to look forward to this coming season for the Red Devils, Ronaldo is understood to have made it clear that he is close to calling it quits just a year into his return to the Premier League with United.
Chelsea were credited with a strong interest in making an approach for the 37-year-old forward player whose agent Jorge Mendes opened talks with the Blues owner Todd Boehly over a possible move to Stamford Bridge.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, in his latest tweet on the Ronaldo transfer saga, has claimed that the Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel is not in favour of bringing in the Portuguese superstar and has decided against tabling an offer for the attacker.
Raheem Sterling’s arrival from Manchester City in a big-money deal will provide Tuchel with the much-needed firepower in the attacking third of the pitch which was lacking last season despite Romelu Lukaku’s recruitment.
