Romelu Lukaku enjoyed a fantastic second debut for Chelsea with the Stamford Bridge returnee finding the back of the net against Arsenal on Sunday.
The Belgian who linked up with the Blues once again this summer following a big-money move from Inter Milan had been backed to solve Chelsea’s misfiring fortunes in front of the goal which had been on the show last season.

Lukaku did just that in his first appearance since his move to the Bridge as the Belgian striker gave Chelsea an early advantage in the weekend clash at the Emirates Stadium by slotting the ball past Bernd Leno inside the opening 15 minutes of the game.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, in his post-match remarks to the media, was full of praise for his new player’s showing in the high-billed fixture against city rivals Arsenal who fell to a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the visiting Chelsea outfit.
Tuchel admitted that Lukaku linked up well with his fellow attacking partners Kai Havertz and Mason Mount and that the Belgian provided a new dimension to Chelsea’s play in the final third of the pitch.
“Romelu’s a very smart guy and a very democratic leader.”
“He was dangerous throughout. There’s room for improvement and we need to work on details but it was a very good debut. He linked up very well with Mason Mount and Kai Havertz.
“I certainly think that nobody likes to play against him, everyone is aware of his physicality and his link-up play and ability to attack the space. He gives another dimension to our game.
He’s got the whole package; he was always a Chelsea fan whose dream was to make it here.
