Thomas Tuchel knows that he must deliver to stay long at Chelsea

Frank Lampard has finally taken an exit and hence opened the gate for most speculated and expected Thomas Tuchel as the manager of Chelsea after all hues and cries. Thomas Tuchel has signed in as the new manager and head coach of Chelsea leaving behind all chaos.

While signing in, Tuchel admitted that he is signing with the side which has a hunger for trophies and he will certainly support them to win a handful of trophies during his tenure.

On Wednesday, the team played their first game under the new manager against the Wolves at their home ground. It was not only the players but also the manager himself who was deeply observing the game to know the performance and form of the players.

Tuchel’s first game was, however, goalless as the team played for a draw 0-0 against the Wolves. While the game was a draw, but the performance of the team was quite satisfactory, proclaimed Tuchel after the post-match ceremony. But he knows that it isn’t enough as his time will be limited if he fails to bring trophies to this club.

‘Honestly when I think about Chelsea and my time at Chelsea I want to win trophies. This is clear. This club is about winning titles. I believe that to achieve this it is necessary that we create an atmosphere, in the squad and between the squad and the staff, that the people who support us can feel it, that there’s something special about this team,’ he said as per Chelsea’s Official Website.

‘We can create this on a daily basis. It can be a big distraction to think now about trophies. I want the people to be happy in the stadium. I want the people to be excited, I want the people to absolutely feel that we are going with a hunger to win and not with a fear to lose. We have nothing to lose, we are Chelsea and we do what we love the most, we do football.

‘This is what I want to let everybody feel. I’m so sad that there are no supporters today in the stadium and hopefully we can enjoy this in some weeks. But this is it. We set the bar very high, also for myself, what I demand of myself, where to bring this team, up to the top, and I go for nothing less. Will I make it? I don’t know, but this is the target.’

As described by Thomas Tuchel, the major challenge he is looking forward at the inclusion of Harvertz Kai and Timo Werner, for whom the owner Roman Abramovich had to expand a 220 million pound ($300 million).

Tuchel also made it very clear that at the present situation of the team is not good- lying at the 9th spot in the point table and 11 points behind league toppers. He admits it to be difficult to win the Premier League this year but looking forward to winning the Champion League Trophy and FA Cup later this year for sure.
