Thomas Tuchel keeping tabs on Sasa Kalajdzic as Tammy Abraham nears Chelsea exit

Tammy Abraham’s future at Stamford Bridge beyond this summer remains subject to much speculation and should the striker seek an exit, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel will eye up a move for Sasa Kalajdzic, according to Ekrem Konur.

Kalajdzic was a standout performer for Stuttgart in the Bundesliga last season with 16 goals to his name and the player has courted attention from some of the biggest clubs across the continent including Borussia Dortmund and AC Milan.

Chelsea have been understood to be in the transfer market for a new forward player ahead of the start of the new season with Tuchel sanctioning the sale of the veteran Frenchman Olivier Giroud who has completed a move to San Siro.

Dortmund talisman Erling Haaland remains Tuchel’s priority target for the summer transfer window currently underway but the German club have made it clear that they do not intend to part ways with the 20-year-old star striker this time around, forcing Tuchel to look elsewhere for alternatives to bolster his attacking options.

Kalajdzic is sure to be a cut-price signing for Chelsea with Stuttgart heavily backed to entertain offers for the Austrian international forward this summer from a host of clubs who have registered interest in signing the player.
