Over the weekend, Chelsea announced that a deal had been reached to buy the club, with Todd Boehly leading the prospective group.
Following the announcement that Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter, and Hansjoerg Wyss had reached an agreement to buy Chelsea over the weekend, Thomas Tuchel stated he has yet to see him.
After being photographed with personalities like former UK Chancellor George Osborne at Stamford Bridge on Friday evening, Boehly was present to watch the Blues draw with Wolves at the weekend.
At halftime on Saturday, the prospective Blues owner got the option to sit in one of the West Stand’s executive boxes alongside Bruce Buck, and the deal is likely to close in late May, pending all necessary regulatory permissions.
Chelsea, on the other hand, will have to work within the limits of its special license until the ownership transition is complete. As a result, they are still restricted in how much money they can spend on attending and hosting matches, and they are unable to agree on new contracts or moves.
The German coach sought to preserve his distance from the process when Raine Group selected their initial selection, saying it would be ideal for him to be involved ‘as late as feasible.’
Todd Boehly has made it clear to those close to him that he is here to win. He has set himself an enormous target to ‘surpass even what Abramovich achieved’, but that fits in with an attitude that has served him so well in the business world. A new era dawns.

With no agreement in place, the 48-year-old appears unconcerned about rushing to meet potential owners.
Tuchel claimed that there is a meeting impending between him and the club’s chairman in his pre-match press conference for the Leeds game.
“No, not yet, not at all. After the end of the match and the result and the late equaliser we had some other stuff to talk about and to think about so nothing has changed for us at Cobham. We’re still waiting for the confirmation, waiting for things to progress to hopefully have news and have news for us and the team to inject some positive energy.”
🗣 "Hopefully the process will be streamlined and go forward as soon as possible."

With the clash between Leeds and Chelsea about to kick off in about 24 hours, there is an expectation that the Boehly will be traveling and will be present in the stands of Ellan Road.
