Thiago Silva receives bumper offer from an unnamed club in the Middle East

Thiago Silva has reportedly been offered a bumper deal from an unnamed club in the Middle East to call it quits at Stamford Bridge at the end of the season.

The Brazil international central defender’s future remains up in the air despite attempts from the Chelsea camp to tie down the veteran to renewed terms until the summer of 2023.

It is understood that the boss Thomas Tuchel is keen on Silva putting pen to paper on a new deal with the Blues staring hard at a defensive exodus come next summer as Antonio Rudiger nears his exit to sign for Real Madrid.

Silva has been an important figure at the back for Chelsea and the centre-back has flourished under Tuchel’s charge with the pair having worked before at Paris Saint-Germain before making the move to England’s top flight.

Ian McGarry of the Transfer Window podcast ( via The Daily Express) has added to the speculation surrounding Silva’s Chelsea future with the claim of the defender receiving a sizable pay package to sign for club in the Middle East next summer.

“It is our information that we have obtained here at the Transfer Window that Thiago Silva has a significant financial offer to continue his career in the Middle East, which of course in terms of money would be attractive because it would be tax-free and the leagues of course are not overly competitive.

“But Silva himself is extremely competitive.”
