Chelsea’s new summer signing, Thiago Silva claims that his early appearances in the Premier League have left him with headaches. But in spite of this, he has enjoyed his life at Chelsea and is keen to extend his contract at Chelsea for the following season.
The Brazilian defender joined the Blues on a free transfer in this summer transfer season with only one year and another year as optional. The move came as he decided not to continue his career at the Paris Saint-Germain after spending 8 years there.
The former PSG captain although turned 36 recently, made a quick impressive impact in the west London club. He helped his team to prevent defeat in all competitions from th first eight fixtures of his. This helped him to climb up the Premier League ladder.
Thiago talked about the comparison between the English football to Ligue 1 and Serie A( played for Milan)as he was away to carry out his international duties for Brazil.
“I also had great companions in my early days like Maldini and Nesta, with whom I played for two years, so I was able to learn a lot from them,” said Silva as per Goal news reports.
“The French championship is a little more physical, stronger and now PSG has a dominance over the opponents and we had to risk a little more.
“And now in the English championship, the last two games I ended up with a lot of headaches because there are aerial plays at all times and, with a very high pace of play, it is very different from the other two leagues.
“I have learned from all that and I put it into practice to help the younger players.”
