Southampton are reportedly prepared to sell Chelsea transfer target Romeo Lavia this summer in order to pocket a hefty asking price.
Lavia signed for the south coast outfit last summer from Manchester City and just one year into his move to the Saints, the promising midfielder could be on the way out with Southampton embroiled in a regulation battle.
According to a report from 90min, it is claimed that Southampton are looking to do business for a potentially higher price this summer with Manchester City having a £40 million buy-back option on the player which becomes active in 2024.
Chelsea have been linked with a swoop for the Belgium international midfielder in the recent past and should Southampton be open to offers for Lavia at the end of the season, the Blues would fancy their chances of signing the 19-year-old.
The Stamford Bridge giants are keen to bring in another fresh pair of legs for their midfield despite splashing a British record transfer fee on recruiting Enzo Fernandez from Benfica in the Janaury transfer window.
