Southampton in line to table club-record bid for Chelsea youngster Armando Broja

Southampton are reportedly in line to table a club-record bid for Chelsea youngster Armando Broja who has been a hit signing for The Saints.

Broja made the move to St. Mary’s last summer from Chelsea in a season-long loan deal with Thomas Tuchel keen on the young forward getting regular first-team football under his belt during his time away.

According to a claim by Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea could be braced for a £25 million bid for their highly-promising loanee with Southampton keen on breaking their club-record fee to land the Albanian on a permanent transfer.

Saints boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has long been after Broja’s coveted signature amid speculation rife that Chelsea’s city rivals West Ham United are keeping tabs on Broja with David Moyes credited with an interest in the forward in the final days of the January window.

Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, has asserted in the recent past that Broja remains a Chelsea player with the German coach urging the former to maintain his stellar run of form in front of the goal in what remains of the campaign.
