Sevilla are reportedly willing to drop their €80 million valuation for Chelsea target Jules Kounde whose move to the Bridge failed to go through this summer.
The Blues gaffer Thomas Tuchel had pushed for the club board to land Kounde in the summer to shore up his defensive roster by bringing in the highly-rated France international.
However, with Sevilla playing hardball over pricing concerns in the final hours of the transfer window, Chelsea pulled the plug on the ongoing talks for the central defender but could be in line to revisit their interest in Kounde.
According to reports from ESPN, it is claimed that the La Liga side are open to discussing a cut-price deal with the Stamford Bridge giants for Kounde’s transfer ahead of the forthcoming January window.
Tuchel will be backed to look for reinforcements at the back with the German resigned to losing out on his star name Antonio Rudiger come next summer on a free transfer following his long drawn out contract stalemate in the English capital.
