Former Chelsea and current Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri are reportedly interested in bringing Chelsea midfielder N’golo Kante to Turin next summer to boost his midfield.
Sarri does not have a reputation for demanding the club to sign players in the transfer market and instead prefers to work and improve the players already at his disposal. However, Sarri has made his feelings clear to the club officials at the top.
Sarri was criticized throughout his tenure as Chelsea manager for playing Kante in a more advanced role rather than playing him in the middle as a defensive midfielder instead of preferring Brazil-born Italian Jorginho in that role.
The French international made his name as a defensive midfielder with Leicester City when they surprised the world and won the Premier League title in the 2015-16 season. Following that season Kante left Leicester to sign for Chelsea in a deal worth 30 million pounds and won the Premier League title again this time with Chelsea.
Sarri wants a workhorse midfielder to cover opposition players when Cristiano Ronaldo makes runs into the box and sees Kante as the ideal midfielder.
A combination of Aaron Ramsey, Miralem Pjanic and Kante is the triumvirate that Sarri believes would be the best in Europe, backed by a number of high-quality options from the bench. Rabiot, Bentancur, and Khedira are some of the midfield options available to Maurizio Sarri.
Juventus will have to part with a figure at least above 70 million pounds to convince Chelsea to sell their star player.
