Ruben Loftus-Cheek is understood to be not open to leaving Chelsea this summer despite speculation linking the midfielder with a move away from the Bridge.
The England international is down the pecking order in the Chelsea fold in terms of competition for the midfield berths but that would not convince him to seek a new destination, according to the rumour mill.
A report from Metro has claimed that Loftus-Cheek is not keen on the idea of being included in a cash-plus-player offer to sign Leicester City centre-back Wesley Fofana who is a top name on Thomas Tuchel’s shopping list.
The 26-year-old midfielder has failed to cement his spot on the Chelsea team sheet and with the summer transfer window underway, there was the possibility of Chelsea deeming Loftus-Cheek surplus to requirements to trim their squad size.
Tuchel has pursued a move for Barcelona’s wantaway star Frenkie de Jong who could be interested in linking up with the Blues after holding out on completing a much-awaited transfer to Manchester United.
