The Ex-Everton man has been back from an injury and has been able to showcase his full potential under Sarri. He would love to make a statement for himself.
The 24-year old is feeling confident heading into the new season, with two worthy performances against Perth Glory and Inter Milan respectively. With consecutive consistencies, Barkley will be expecting a start against Arsenal at Dublin. He is expecting to start a good season, he targets one match at a time.
Barkley seems very comfortable in his new team. He said: ‘I feel like I’ve been here for a long time now, I get on with all the lads and during the off-season I’ve got myself really fit just to give myself a head start knowing there’s a new manager you’ve got to impress and get used to what he wants really quickly, that’s been my approach.’
