Romelu Lukaku has indicated to the Inter Milan board that he is willing to make the move to the Premier League this summer and re-sign for his former club Chelsea who have pushing to sign him for a while now.
Thomas Tuchel’s west Londoners have been persistent in their efforts to bring in a big-name forward player in this summer’s transfer window and the 28-year-old Lukaku has been heavily linked with a return to Stamford Bridge.
Despite Inter Milan and the player both asserting that no such move was on the cards for the ongoing transfer window, Chelsea’s willingness to fork out a €120 million fee to land the Belgian has convinced the player of the transfer, according to reports from the English daily Guardian.
Inter Milan’s ever-increasing difficulties on the financial front are understood to be a major reason behind the Serie A holders pondering over parting ways with their star striker ahead of the start of the new campaign which gets underway in less than two weeks from now.
Lukaku remains in line to earn a sizable £250,000 a week wage upon his imminent return to the Chelsea colours and will be a record signing for the Champions of Europe.
