Following comments from both his agency and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel about his future, Romelu Lukaku has delivered a heartfelt message to fans.
Over the last few months, there has been much speculation about whether Lukaku will stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the conclusion of the season, and it now appears that the player has had enough.
Lukaku returned to Chelsea during the summer transfer window, for a fee of £97.5 million, and the Blues paid Inter for his services.
However, his comeback has been marred by poor form and off-field drama, with suggestions claiming he wished to return to Italy quickly following an interview in December.
But, ahead of an FA Cup final against Liverpool, the 28-year-form old’s has improved in recent weeks, with three goals in his previous two Premier League outings.
Federico Pastorello, his agent, elected to remark on his client’s future on Friday, as confirmed by the well-known Fabrizio Romano.
Lukaku’s agent Pastorello: “We can’t think about negotiations, we don’t know new Chelsea owners… let alone if we can open talks with Inter or AC Milan. We have to wait”, tells Repubblica. 🔵 #CFC
“I don’t discuss the tactical choices, but it’s obvious that there was a problem”.

Lukaku’s patience had now run out. With rumors circling around him and no response from the athlete, he took to Instagram on Friday. In a letter attached to his narrative.
“Never ever will I let someone speak for me. I kept my mouth shut and focused on helping the team end the season in the best way possible.
“So if someone [is] out there trying to say something about me and the club… not in my name.”

Due to illness, injury, and a lack of form, the 29-year-old has only scored 15 goals in 42 outings for the Blues this season across all competitions.
For the second time this season, Pastorello’s comments have placed doubt on Lukaku’s future at Chelsea, and both times it was due to interviews published in the days preceding up to critical matches against Liverpool.
But the Belgian’s post-game comments after scoring 3 in 2 games, have sent a sense of relief to the Blues fans ahead of an important encounter in the League Cup.
