Roma boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a move for Chelsea loanee Conor Gallagher a summer after landing striker Tammy Abraham from the Stamford Bridge fold.
The England international forward’s move to Rome was followed up by stellar displays in front of the goal which has earned the ex-Blues man rave reviews on the back of 23 goals in his debut campaign.
Gallagher has been one of the top players in his position in the Premier League this season whilst on loan at Selhurst Park as Chelsea face a challenge retaining the midfielder’s services beyond the coming summer window.
A report from TeamTalk has claimed that former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho, now in charge of the Serie A heavyweights AS Roma, has his sights on launching a bid for Gallagher’s signature with Chelsea’s ownership struggles adding to the speculation.
The west London outfit have been hit by sanctions from the UK government in the aftermath of the Russian-Ukraine conflict which brought Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich under the scanner of the authorities.
