Fabrizio Romano denies any news of Erling Haaland moving to Chelsea

Chelsea was reported to prepare a stunning move for Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker has been a long target for Manchester United before he shifted to the Bundesliga club. The reports claimed that Frank Lampard is keen to add Haaland to his squad next season.

Fabrizio Romano is a respected journalist who was cited as the source of the information. But recently he denied any reports like this. The reputed journalist replied to the original post on Twitter that had the link of Haaland to Stamford Bridge and completely denied it.

It’s unimaginable that Haaland is now in his sixth season of senior football in just 20  years of age. It shows how lethal he has been throughout his short career there is no doubt that he is a pure world-class player already.

The Norwegian centre forward is a goal machine having a total of 70 goals in 116 games of club football. He has averaged a goal every 92 minutes throughout his football career until now.

If any day in the future Chelsea does want to purchase him, he won’t come so cheap. Moreover, Lampard needs to put his eyes elsewhere and invest. Lampard has spent huge money to overhaul the squad this summer majority came from the Eden Hazard’s transfer to Real Madrid.

But the Blues’ defence particularly needs to get strengthened as Thiago Silva is only a short-term option. There are still questions arising on his full-backs.

Furthermore, Chelsea has Timo Werner, Kai Havertz and Hakim Ziyech upfront along with players like Tammy Abraham, Olivier Giroud too.
