This turn of events could prove to be an upsetting setback for Chelsea with the boss Thomas Tuchel on the hunt for a new attacking signing to bolster his ranks after an underwhelming campaign from his forward roster across the 21-22 season.
Romelu Lukaku, Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech are understood to be mulling over exits from the Stamford Bridge fold with Tuchel likely to sanction their sales should Chelsea receive a reasonable offer from the interested parties.
