Real Madrid identify Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell as a top target

Real Madrid have reportedly zeroed in on Chelsea left-back Ben Chilwell as a top target for the next summer with the La Liga outfit looking to add reinforcements in their full-back roles.

Chilwell has found it hard to cement his name on the starting team sheet for the Blues in this new season with Marcos Alonso establishing his credentials for the same in a rather firm manner on the back of some solid showings from the Spaniard.

Reports from Todo Fichajes have now suggested that Carlo Ancelotti, the Real Madrid boss, is seeking improvements to his defensive roster and has Chilwell within his sights in the transfer market.

The Italian coach is believed to be keeping tabs on the former Leicester City defensive talent alongside Liverpool’s highly-rated full-back Trent Alexander-Arnold ahead of the next summer’s transfer window.

It remains to be seen whether Tuchel and Chelsea will be willing to part ways with Chilwell who was a big-money buy for the club when he arrived at Stamford Bridge from Leicester City last summer.
