Real Madrid are understood to be considering making an approach this summer to sign Chelsea striker Timo Werner whose future at Stamford Bridge hangs in the balance.
Werner has been heavily linked with a move away from the English capital before the transfer window closes with the Germany international falling out of favour in the Chelsea camp as of late.
Following rumours of a rift with the Blues head coach Thomas Tuchel and subsequent interest shown in the forward by Italian giants Juventus, Real Madrid have joined the chase for the 26-year-old, according to the Spanish outlet Defensa Central.
The European champions are on the lookout for attacking reinforcements to bolster their lineup in front of the goal and Werner’s availability could make the former RB Leipzig talisman an attractive name to eye up in the market for Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Real are weighing up the option to part ways with Borja Mayoral and Mariano Diaz this summer and the departures could open the door at Santiago Bernebeu for Werner’s entry should Chelsea be willing to sanction the transfer.
