Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling wants to stay at Stamford Bridge amid widespread boos from the fans in recent games.
The former Manchester City star joined the Blues in 2022 for a £47.5m fee. However, he was been unable to replicate the fine form that he once displayed at the Etihad.
Sterling was at the centre of criticism when Chelsea defeated Leicester City by a 4-2 score line in the sixth round of the FA Cup. Although the Englishman assisted the team’s second goal, he missed a penalty and missed several easy one-on-one chances. The fans booed the player as they showed their frustration towards the player. Many expected him to be the first one to be substituted by manager Mauricio Pochettino.
After the game, Sterling apologized for his mistakes via social media. His teammates also supported him in this case.

But as per a recent transfer update, the 29-year-old is determined to fight for his place at the club and snub any potential transfer offer from Saudi Arabian clubs.
The winger is yet to receive offers from other parties since he has two years left on his current contract. Due to his high wages and inconsistent form, it is expected that he will have few options aboard.
The senior attacker will need to be at his best when Chelsea face champions Manchester City on the 20th of April at the Wembley Stadium.
Can Sterling turn the tide at Stamford Bridge this season?
Sterling can change his fortunes and be a role model for the youngsters in the squad. But that is only possible if he pushes his gears and scores more goals for his side.
The management would lose their patience if the Englishman continued to pour in underwhelming performances.

The club currently misses his pace and clever dribbling skills. He hasn’t been able to do the same for the English national team as manager Gareth Southgate continues to keep him out of the squad list.
