Preview: Tottenham Hotspur vs. Chelsea

Tottenham Hotspur welcome Chelsea for a Premier League clash on Sunday that could see Spurs leapfrog its London rivals into fourth place with a win. Spurs pulled off a superb late win at Wolves last week to close the gap on 4th-placed Chelsea as the revival under Jose Mourinho continues. The Blues meanwhile have endured a poor run of results since the last international break that has seen them lose four out of their last five Premier League games.

Kepa is set to start in goal despite his position coming in question recently following some questionable performances, there have even been reports saying that Lampard is looking to replace the Chelsea record signing.

Fikayo Tomori has missed the past two games through injury and, although he returned to training, may still be left on the bench behind Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger. Cesar Azpilicueta is likely to keep his place at right-back with Lampard looking for more solidity in bigger games.

Emerson is also set to keep his place with Alonso the only other left-back in the squad. The other option for Lampard would be to play Azpilicueta at left-back and play youngster Reece James at right back.

Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud are also absent, while the midfield trio of N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic should start which means that Mason Mount will drop to the bench. Mount has been undergoing a slump in a form in recent games with many fans calling for him to be taken out of the team for a few games.

With the attack struggling for inspiration, Lampard may be inclined to bring Hudson-Odoi in with either Pulisic or Willian dropping out. Hudson-Odoi looked lively when he came off the bench against Bournemouth and Lampard may want to give him a start this weekend with Willian looking tired in recent games.

Tammy Abraham looks a certainty to start as the lone striker upfront with Michy Batshuayi deemed not good enough to start for the Blues.

Tottenham will hand a late fitness test to midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, who is battling to recover from a groin problem which has kept him out of the last three matches.

Michel Vorm is also back in training for the hosts, although Paulo Gazzaniga will continue to deputize for the injured Hugo Lloris in goal.

Erik Lamela and Ben Davies are also still sidelined, but there are no new injury concerns for Mourinho and he could name an unchanged team to the one which won at Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out.

Chelsea possible starting lineup:
Kepa; Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Zouma, Emerson; Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic; Hudson-Odoi, Abraham, Pulisic
