Premier League champions Manchester City are understood to be keen on Chelsea wing-back Ben Chilwell ahead of this summer’s transfer window.
City manager Pep Guardiola is on the search for a replacement for Joao Cancelo who made the move to Bayer Munch in the January transfer window on loan with that deal including a €70 million option to buy.
It remains to be seen whether Bayern would be pushing to make Cancelo’s move permanent but City are already preparing for life without the highly-rated Portugal wing-back who had fallen out favour with Guardiola before his exit from the Etihad.
According to a recent report from The Athletic, it is claimed that the England defender Chilwell, who has impressed of late for Graham Potter’s resurgent Chelsea, is on the list of targets for the champions of the land Manchester City.
The Manchester outfit are backed to test the waters with a bid for the Chelsea man over the summer when the Blues camp are likely to part ways with several first-team names to rebuild their squad.
