Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has revealed that the club might be looking for experienced players this summer.
The Argentine boss criticised his players heavily and pointed out that they for not mature enough after their recent 2-2 draw against Sheffield United. The Blues threw away their lead twice as they failed to grab all three points this weekend.
However, the manager has now softened his tone and admitted that he should be more positive in his criticism.
The West London side remains in contention to get a spot in the Europa League or the conference league. They still need to be at their best in their remaining games to be in a safe spot in the points table.

They also have the chance to lift the FA Cup if they can overcome Manchester City in the semi-final clash this month.
Pochettino was asked about the club’s transfer plans after the Sheffield game and the manager hinted that he might be looking for experienced players in the upcoming transfer market.
As quoted by the Standard UK, he said:
“We can keep going in the same way with the policy [to sign young players]. But in the squad, we have Thiago Silva, Raheem Sterling and Marcus Bettinelli.”
“It is not going against the project to have some players who are helping the young guys to perform, to be professional, and to understand what it means to be in the Premier League and to be at Chelsea. We need to talk and decide the strategy for next season.”
Chelsea has the second-youngest squad in the league just ahead of Burnley. Their most senior player, Silva is expected to leave the club this summer and they have a huge void to fill.
Although Todd Boehly and his management have been focusing on young talents, it is time for them to have a balanced squad and sign experienced stars.

It would not be a wise move to push the burden on these young shoulders. After all, having senior players will help the youngsters learn and boost their progress.
The Blues need options and also answers to their underwhelming performances this season. It remains to be seen whether they can plan an effective transfer strategy in the upcoming months.
