Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to rebuff interest from MLS outfit Los Angeles FC

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is set to rebuff interest from MLS outfit Los Angeles FC and fight for his place in the Chelsea squad where he finds himself on the fringes.

The 33-year-old has struggled for regular game time under Graham Potter’s charge and speculation was rife over his future at the Bridge beyond the January transfer window with other clubs keen to move in for his signature.

Aubameyang, however, was not eligible to play for another European side after having turned out for both Barcelona and Chelsea this term but a move to the Stateside was on the cards with Los Angeles FC in the mix to sign him on loan until the summer.

According to a report from The Telegraph, it is claimed that the former Arsenal talisman does not consider it the right time of his career to make the move to the MLS and he would rather fight for his Premier League place.

Chelsea’s heavy spending in the January window, which saw a host of new faces coming through the door, had cast doubt over Aubameyang’s spot in the Blues squad after his omission from the Champions League roster.
