Inter Milan star defender Achraf Hakimi is believed to be preferring signing for Paris Saint-Germain rather than Chelsea who had shockingly joined the fray to make a move for the 22-year-old.
Ligue 1 journalist Romain Collet-Gaudin claims that Hakimi is more drawn towards the prospects of playing for the Parisians under their new boss Mauricio Pochettino who only took charge earlier this year after being sacked from Tottenham Hotspur.
Such developments would come as a major blow to Chelsea’s plans of landing Hakimi’s signature with the Blues having emerged strong favourites to hijack PSG’s initial pursuit of the Moroccon international.
The Serie A champions Inter Milan are understood to be on the hunt for prospective buyers for a number of their first-team regular players to ease the financial worries at the Italian side amid the pandemic-stricken uncertainties.
Along with Hakimi, it is their star striker Romelu Lukaku who has attracted plenty of attention from abroad and most notably from the Belgian’s former club Chelsea who are wanting to bolster their attacking line.
