Paris Saint-Germain have hit out at Chelsea for the collapse of Hakim Ziyech’s loan move to the Ligue 1 giants on Tuesday’s deadline day.
The Blues winger Ziyech had been widely expected to sign for the Parisians on a short-term loan until the end of the season but has failed to make a move away from Chelsea due to registration issues.
According to a report from The Sun, it is claimed that the former Ajax man was fuming over the breakdown of his switch to PSG as he called up Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly to plead with him to resolve the drama that unfolded late on Tuesday.
PSG, meanwhile, have blasted Chelsea for playing spoilsport to Ziyech’s plans of a move as the French top flight giants said in a statement that the player would be heading back to a club where he has been deemed surplus to requirements.
France’s Ligue de Football Professionnel has decided against approving the loan deal for the Morocco international with the transfer failing to go through due to the incorrect submission of documents by Chelsea.
