Ousmane Dembele wants an assurance of regular game time for joining Chelsea this summer with the Frenchman not keen on serving as a benchwarmer, according to The Sun.
The French winger has emerged as a top priority on the shopping list for the Blues who are in the market for attacking reinforcements with last summer’s recruit Romelu Lukaku set to be deemed surplus to requirements.
Lukaku is edging closer to re-signing for Italian heavyweights Inter Milan despite Chelsea holding out for an increasing asking price to sanction the Belgium international’s move back to San Siro in a loan agreement with the option to buy.
Dembele is a long-standing target for the Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel who has worked with the Barcelona contract rebel before at Dortmund and would like to land his signature to bolster his frontline heading into the new campaign.
The 25-year-old attacker, however, wants assurances from Tuchel that he would be a starter for his new side and not subject to squad rotation which is something that Tuchel has often done since he took charge at Stamford Bridge.
