N’Golo Kante ‘Out Of Danger’ as returns to the Blues group training sessions

Blues midfielder N’Golo Kante has joined up with his Chelsea FC teammates ahead of the restart of the current Premier League campaign. The French international has spent most of the recent time being away from the Chelsea FC squad as the Blues regrouped and took part in training sessions.

However, Kante was permitted by the Chelsea FC management to stay away from the Blues training ground Cobham amid fears regarding Kante’s susceptibility towards the coronavirus. As a result, the World-Cup winning midfielder was taking part in training sessions at his home and did not partake in the first phase of training with his teammates.

There were reports earlier which suggested that Kante could miss out on the remainder of the current Premier League season due to fears over his health because of the ongoing pandemic.

The Blues coach Frank Lampard had allowed Kante to miss the remaining Premier League season with the Chelsea FC manager prioritizing his key player’s health over the return of the midfielder to the squad.

Kante had expressed fears of catching the infection and the further spreading of the deadly pandemic disease among his family members to Lampard and the Chelsea FC hierarchy. The Blues fan-favourite had lost his brother to a heart attack before the commencement of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. Moreover, Kante himself had a health scare after he had collapsed during a training session nearly two years ago.

The 29-year old Kante had been attending the training base of the Blues, Cobham. However, the player was only doing so on an individual basis and steered clear of any group sessions along with the other Chelsea FC players, despite the Premier League passing the vote to reintroduce contact-based training in May. The Premier League had passed on the vote after detailed discussions and the advisory of the medical board and the English government.

The return of Kante would be a huge boost for Frank Lampard and the rest of the Chelsea FC squad. The French international’s importance to the Blues is unmatched due to his work rate on the pitch and his tackling ability. The Blues will face Aston Villa on 21st June in their first match after the Premier League was suspended three months back.
