Chelsea will be hoping to mark a return to winning ways from successive Premier League defeats when they take on a high-flying Newcastle United on Saturday night at St. James’ Park.
Having not won any of their last four top flight outings, Graham Potter’s men have dropped down to seventh in the league table which would be of much concern to the Chelsea head coach ahead of the weekend’s travels to Newcastle.
The Magpies, meanwhile, sit third in the standings after an excellent start to the season and Eddie Howe’s men were as convincing as it gets last time out in a 4-1 drubbing of basement side Southampton.
WHEN AND WHERE?

TEAM NEWS
Graham Potter remains unable to call upon the likes of N’Golo Kante, Wesley Fofana, Ben Chilwell and Reece James who all remain on the sidelines with long-term injury troubles.
Kepa Arrizabalaga is not expected to be involved in Saturday’s game due to a foot injury which means that Edouard Mendy retains his berth on the starting team sheet.
Jorginho could be deemed a fitness concern as well after he missed out on midweek’s EFL Cup defeat to Manchester City.
MATCH PREDICTION
It could prove to be a stern test away from home turf for an under-performing Chelsea side and we predict that Newcastle could be poised to seal the win.
