Chelsea are set for a stern test away from home with Thomas Tuchel’s men making the travels to the King Power Stadium on Saturday to square up against Leicester City.
The Blues were involved in a frustrating stalemate with Burnley just before heading into the recent international break but Tuchel’s side sit at the summit of the league table with a three-point cushion.
Here is how Tuchel is expected to set up his Blues starting eleven for the weekend outing against Leicester –
3-4-2-1
Edouard Mendy will be manning the goalposts with Thomas Tuchel unlikely to ring in major changes to his team sheet on the defensive front.
Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen should be joined by the skipper Cesar Azpilicueta in the three-man backline with Thiago Silva likely to feature on the bench.
N’Golo Kante and Jorginho are tipped to be Tuchel’s go-to men in the centre of the park for Chelsea with Mateo Kovacic’s injury making the Croatian international an expected absentee for the upcoming fixture.
Romelu Lukaku made a return to training during the break and it remains to be seen whether the summer recruit will be rushed back into action by his boss.
