As per the Magpies’ official website, Newcastle United have officially completed the signing of talented 18-year-old Chelsea starlet Lewis Hall.
Last season, Hall made a significant impact and established himself as one of the most promising talents to emerge from Chelsea’s youth development system.
The English star, who made 12 senior appearances for Chelsea, notably stood out with a string of impressive displays, especially towards the end of the season. Playing as a left-back, he created five goal-scoring opportunities.
Despite being considered a rising star at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea’s extensive spending on players hindered his chances of regular first-team action, as there were as many as four left-backs on the squad.

Due to this, Hall found himself lower down the pecking order, and a move to Newcastle has the potential to be a pivotal moment in his career. It appears that he is poised to flourish into an exceptional talent at St James’ Park.
Hall, who earned the title of Chelsea’s Academy Player of the Year for the 2022/23 season, is now Newcastle’s fifth addition in this Premier League transfer window.
The youngster’s arrival is in the form of a season-long loan deal, and Newcastle have the option to make the transfer permanent for approximately £30 million.
