Newcastle United are reportedly after Chelsea midfield pair Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek in the build-up to the January transfer window.
The Magpies on the back of their recent Saudi-led takeover are set to splash the cash in the forthcoming transfer windows to bring in new signings to bolster the ranks at St. James’ Park.
Barkley has been one name eyed up by the Newcastle United camp in the recent past and adding to the shopping list for them is another Chelsea first-team outcast in Ruben Loftus-Cheek.
According to reports from 90min, it is suggested that Newcastle United’s new chiefs will be seeking short-term fixes in the upcoming January window and have identified Chelsea midfield duo Barkley and Loftus-Cheek as top targets.
Both players have found it tough to cement a berth on the teamsheet for the Blues under Thomas Tuchel’s charge and could be convinced into departing the Bridge midway through the season should Newcastle come calling with a concrete offer.
