Newcastle United have zeroed in on the Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic as their top target for the January transfer window which opens in less than a month.
According to a report from The Mirror ( via The Express), it is claimed that the 24-year-old Pulisic, who has struggled to earn regular game time at Stamford Bridge, is a top name on the January window shopping list for the Saudi-backed Newcastle.
The Magpies are on the hunt for new signings to add more firepower to their front line on the back of a superb league campaign so far as the manager Eddie Howe looks to bolster his squad further after the New Year.
Pulisic’s possible departure from the Blues fold will open the door for the recently appointed Chelsea boss Graham Potter to add to his attacking options by dipping into the market for a couple of fresh faces.
Chelsea’s form has spiraled despite a strong start under Potter who replaced Thomas Tuchel in the dugout and the former is likely to make the most of the club’s funds to bring in signings midway through the campaign.
