New Genoa boss Andriy Shevchenko is reportedly eyeing up a swoop for Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic to bolster his roster at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium.
Reports from Secolo XIX have suggested that Shevchenko, who was recently appointed to the top job at Genoa, will be in the transfer market for fresh blood and has identified two targets from England’s top flight.
Chelsea and USMNT star forward Christian Pulisic is a name rumoured to be high on the shopping list for Shevchenko with the Blues first-teamer joined by Manchester City full-back Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Pulisic has had a tough luck with injuries early on this new season and has spent a significant period of time out on the sidelines which has curtailed his first-team opportunities for Thomas Tuchel’s side who lack quality options in the attacking roster.
Injuries to forward duo Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner has left Tuchel bereft of star presence up top on the pitch and Pulisic’s time on the recovery table has prevented the ex-Dortmund man from grabbing his chance to secure a starting berth.
