Napoli have reportedly zeroed in on Chelsea shot-stopper Kepa Arrizabalaga as a priority target for this summer’s transfer window.
The Spanish goalkeeper has found himself playing second fiddle between the sticks to Edouard Mendy in the Chelsea shirt and there is strong speculation that the Blues would be open to cashing in on the former in the summer.
According to a report from the Italian news outlet Calciomercato, Napoli are keeping close tabs on Kepa’s situation at Stamford Bridge with the £155,000 per week star said to be a top name on the shopping list for the Serie A heavyweights.
The former Athletic Bilbao man’s wages, however, could complicate matters on the transfer front for Napoli despite rumours that Kepa is willing to take a cut while Chelsea themselves are ready to cover a portion of the costs.
Kalidou Koulibaly’s transfer to Chelsea earlier in the transfer window has ensured a good relationship between Thomas Tuchel’s side and Napoli which the latter are hoping to make the most of to land Kepa’s signature.
