Monaco have reportedly set a €40 million asking price for Chelsea target Aurélien Tchouaméni amid Thomas Tuchel’s camp keeping tabs on the player.
Tchouaméni has been a star turn for Monaco in the Ligue 1 and Chelsea along with domestic rivals Manchester United have joined the race to land the young midfield talent from France next summer.
Despite Tuchel signing Atletico Madrid’s Saul Niguez on a loan deal with an option to buy this summer on deadline day, the Spaniard’s start to life at Stamford Bridge does not make him a viable long-term addition for the Blues, according to the rumour mill.
Reports from Calcio Mercato ( via The Goal) claim that Monaco have slapped a €40 million price tag on the 21-year-old Tchouaméni who looks set for a bright future for both club and country after receiving his debut call up to the France fold earlier this year.
Chelsea’s interest in signing the Ligue 1 starlet could be challenged by other clubs also believed to be in the fray which include the likes of Manchester United and Italian heavyweights Juventus.
