Chelsea target Matthijs de Ligt is seeking an exit from Serie A giants Juventus at the end of this season, according to the player’s agent Mino Raiola.
Thomas Tuchel’s camp have been linked with a move for De Ligt with the Holland international central defender unable to fulfil his potential at Juventus and rumours suggesting he is keen on a move to the Premier League.
The Blues, meanwhile, remain on the hunt for defensive reinforcements in the aftermath of failing to land their longstanding target Jules Kounde from Sevilla in this summer’s transfer window.
Kounde had been a priority target for Tuchel with the Chelsea boss in line to deal with the contract extension drama involving his defensive mainstay Antonio Rudiger whose stay at Stamford Bridge comes to a close in less than ten months.
